The rules, in full.
What does "off the gas grid" mean?
Ofgem's definition is a property that isn't fuelled by mains gas, has no record of an existing gas meter point, isn't on a heat network and isn't a new build. A capped or clamped gas meter still counts as mains gas.
When does the £9,000 grant end?
It's available from 21 July 2026 until 31 March 2027. After that, check with us for the current figure.
Can I get more than one grant?
No. It's one grant per property.
Does a hybrid system qualify?
No. A heat pump combined with a gas or oil boiler isn't eligible.
Who applies?
The installer. On our installs, Ample makes the application.
